Location: Wembley Park Medical Centre, 2 Humphry Repton Lane, HA9 0GL
Employer: Harness Care Ltd / Harness North Primary Care Network
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, between 8:00am–6:30pm with flexibility)
Contract: Fixed Term until 31st March 2027
Harness Care Ltd delivers high-quality, patient-centred primary care across multiple GP practices, supporting diverse communities across North West London. Harness North Primary Care Network consists of 10 GP practices caring for over 75,000 patients. We are seeking a motivated and organised General Practice Assistant (ARRS) to support clinical teams at Wembley Park Medical Centre and contribute to the smooth and efficient running of GP clinics.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide enhanced administrative support alongside basic clinical duties to assist GPs in delivering high-quality patient care. By undertaking routine administrative and delegated clinical tasks, you will help free up GP time to focus on complex patient needs, improving access and experience for patients.
You will work closely with GPs, practice staff, and the wider multidisciplinary PCN team, supporting tasks such as managing clinical correspondence, arranging referrals and follow-ups, extracting and coding clinical information, and assisting with basic observations including blood pressure, ECGs, urine testing, and phlebotomy (as trained and appropriate). You will always work within your scope of practice, escalating concerns to the GP when required and adhering to robust governance and safety arrangements.
This role offers the opportunity to develop new skills, including working towards (or holding) a GP Assistant Skills Certificate, and to be part of a collaborative, supportive PCN environment committed to continuous improvement, learning, and innovation in primary care.
We offer a welcoming and inclusive workplace, structured supervision, access to training and development, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to patient care and healthier communities.
About You:
Experienced in a primary care or general practice environment, with strong administrative and communication skills.
Confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Organised, flexible, reliable, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
Comfortable using clinical systems (EMIS experience desirable) and handling confidential information with professionalism.
Willing to undertake relevant training, including the GP Assistant Skills Certificate if not already held.
Committed to equality, diversity, inclusion, and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care.
Join Harness Care Ltd and play an important role in supporting GP teams, improving patient access, and helping us achieve our vision of Creating Healthier Communities.
